My plate has two settings:
'Overflowing' & 'Where did
the food go?'. Some days it is
so empty, even the crumbs
feel lonely. On the other days
it is caught disappearing under
the weigh of my life choices.
Yo girl we doing this again?',
my dinner plate looks at me
with judgement for the sheer
amount of carbs on my plate.
'Please just one more dust of
crumbs, I need a purpose to
live', I replied as I was busy
testing gravity limits by piling
up my plate. Being a mad
experimenter and a serial
offender, I blamed my
refrigerator for swallowing
salad bowls on repeat.
The plate looks like a
buffet in disguise. It's
a warrior. Tomorrow's
left over is what brings
us together. A 7 course
meal circulating around
one dish plate, I give it
love and care as I fill it
up for apocalypse again.
